My writing interests are varied and diverse. Currently the bulk of my writing in terms of volume is in non-fiction. I am a regular contributor to several print and online magazines and online newspapers and I have my own blog as well as guest blog on other sites. However I also have a deep interest in paranormal/fantasy romance and mystery fiction and I dabble in Science Fiction and Literary fiction.
My main current project is a non-fiction book about the Court cards of the Tarot and their relationship to the Jungian personality types of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicators (MBTI). The current expectation is that this book, with the working title of Realms of Personality: The Jungian Personalities of the Tarot Courts is expected be on bookstore shelves by Autum of 2011. See my Tarot website for more information about the Tarot.
While my fiction writing has taken a back seat to non-fiction lately, but I am still working on several projects. One project is a science fiction short story that I wrote several years ago, but never sent out to be editors. I am polishing that at and hope to have it out for submission in April 2010. I am also working to flesh out the outlines for two romance novels. One is a paranormal/urban fantasy with the working title of Betwixt that may or may not be the lead book in a series. The other will definately be the first in a series (if it sells). It is a dark paranormal with the working title of Fear of the Dark.
I am also reworking a number of the mysteries that have been sitting on my disk drive for a while because the readings from them that I did at the Southern California Writers Conference were so well received. There are the first of two different series, one a police procedural, the other a noir PI. The are both set in Southern California and the main characters from each make frequent "cameo" appearance in each other's series. The police procedural's protagonist is Kate Roark, a San Diego PD homicide detective and partner, José (Joe) Castro. The protagonist of the secondary thread is Gina Olivetti, a former SDPD uniformed officer turned private investigator.
