Since early in 2007 I have been writing for the on-line newspaper, the Metaverse Messenger. The M2, as it is called, is the largest circulation weekly published in and about the virtual world of Second Life®. I am co-lead writer of the weekly feature "Sim of the Week" and write under the name of my SL avatar, Siobhan Darkstone™.
The "Sim" in "Sim of the Week" (SOTW) refers to a simulator or a region of Second Life®. Regions are the 256 meter by 256 meter (65,536 squar meter) that make up the geography of Second Life®. Each week SOTW features a different sim in its article. Norinn Richard, the name of the avatar of my co-lead writer and I alternate weeks in writing the feature. Norinn tends to pick sims at random using a program, whereas I like to explore around Second Life® looking for regions that I think are intesting.
